7 Reasons The Summer Olympics Are Better Than Winter

If snow wasn’t a good enough reason

1. Everyones Participates in the Summer Olympics

The Winter Olympics are basically for the “cool” kids.

Read: Those who live in the northern hemisphere.

2. The amount of events.

Numbers never lie.. Unless i’m doing the math.
Summer Olympics in London had 302 events, in 26 sports. Winter Olympics in Vancouver had 86 Events in 15 Sports.

3. Locations

The Summer Olympics take place in amazing cities. The winter ones take place in random cities near a mountain. Like where is Sochi on a map?

4. Timing

The Summer Olympics come around when nothing else is on T.V except baseball. Whereas winter comes around and interrupts all your regularly scheduled programming.

5. Uniforms

Summer Olympians basically gift the world with six-packs and all their muscles. Winter Olympians are basically wearing a parka. You tell me which one you want to watch.

6. Relate-ability

I can run, I can throw, I can jump… But can I skate? The answer is no. I like the solid ground. Most of us can play, or have done most of the things in the Summer Olympics. More than half of the world cannot do anything in the Winter version.

7. #SochiProblems

Water restored, sorta. On the bright side, I now know what very dangerous face water looks like. #Sochi #unfiltered pic.twitter.com/sQWM0vYtyz— Stacy St. Clair (@StacyStClair) February 4, 2014

There is no way what is happening in Sochi would happen at a Summer Olympics.

Now lets get real. I’m probably going to watch every minute of Sochi. Why? Because I am Canadian and it’s the only time we actually win at sports. Plus I want to be able to tell my kids I saw the Jamaican Bobsled team, and not the Cool Runnings version.
