This Woman Has Tattooed Alex Salmond's Face On Her Leg

So, Alex Salmond leg tattoos are a thing.

Alex Salmond stopped off in Kirkcaldy on Saturday to promote his book on the independence referendum. Halfway through the signing he was presented with a tattoo of his own face on someone's leg.

The words on Salmond's knuckles are "Saor Alba", which is Scottish Gaelic for "Free Scotland". BuzzFeed News understands the real Alex Salmond does not have anything tattooed on his knuckles.

The tattoo belongs to Aphra Wilson, a strong SNP supporter.

During the independence referendum BuzzFeed News spent an afternoon with Aphra at her Spaghetti Tatoos shop while she gave 77 people pro-independence tattoos for free.

But since then she's had the face of the former first minister himself tattooed on her leg.
