Within minutes โ because Scottish politics is like that โ SNP first minister Nicola Sturgeon had seen her message and was personally urging McGarvey to come over to the SNP.

This is because Scottish politics is strange and very different to the rest of the UK.
McGarvey suddenly realised she was on to a winner and asked Patrick Harvie, leader of the Scottish Greens, whether he'd offer something better.
