therblig a year agothat’s it, although the winding staircase had been removed. gregg sanders was one of my mom’s former students (she taught in mountainside). supposedly, when the police searched the house, they found nazi paraphernalia in his room, although that too, may have been a rumor. like many small town murders, i suspect the truth will never be known. as far as the satanic connection, there was another infamous case in the area - the murder of a teenager name Jeanette DePalma in 1972. she disappeared one day and her body found in the wooded area adjacent to the reservation. it was never solved, although the initial rumor was satanists performing rituals in the reservation. good find.
