In "How I Met Your Dad," Gerwig will play "Sally," whose role is similar to the much loved Ted Mosby. She will reveal how she met her partner through a series of flashbacks.
Gerwig's character Sally is described as a "female Peter Pan who has never grown up and has no idea of where she’s going in life.” The series starts with her contemplating divorce from her estranged husband.
Gerwig is best known for her role as the carefree wanderer Francis in "Francis Ha."
The rest of the cast is still yet to be determined, but there are rumors that there will be cameos from some of the "How I Met Your Mother" cast.
