Response to 11 Things No One Tells Guys With Depression:
As a female struggling with depression, I am SO very happy to read this article. My father suffered from depression, which compounded with physical ailments, led him to suicide. I was 22 when I got that phone call. It is so hard for men to find space to discuss depression when our culture can mistakenly tell men that “feelings,” especially sadness, are a female trait. All emotions are universal in that all of us can experience them. Bravo for spreading strength and courage for ALL people with depression, not just those who more “societally forgiven” for experiencing it.
I’m laughing so hard right now
