The Life And Death Of Umbrellas During A Rainstorm

If you've ever experienced a rainstorm, you know what I'm talking about.

So the rain starts to fall, and you break out your umbrella with confidence.

It starts to rain a little bit harder, but you still got this.

Uh oh... the winds pick up and the inevitable happens...

    Full-on umbrella inversion.

    But hey, it still works.

No big deal, you can still talk to your friend.

    Shoot, the winds get stronger.

And your umbrella transforms into what looks like a spider on its side.

You think about just sitting and taking it like a champ.

But it's not as romantic as they make it seem in the movies.

Why can't all rainstorms be like this?

So you stop and try to fix your umbrella.

... To no avail. Screw it, screw the umbrella! You don't need it!

So you toss it on the sidewalk.

    Or on the street.

    Or on the trash can.

    Or in the litter box.

    Or by a pole.

    Or in a gate.

And then you realize your umbrella kind of looks like a dead insect.

Or maybe a piece of art.

Or perhaps even part of a larger art installation.

But at least you know you're in good company.

And we can all learn from this guy.
