Great Britain Has A Very Real Spider Problem At The Moment

Over the last few weeks there have been several reports of dangerous spiders from around the world being found in Great Britain.

On October 23rd, Euronews reported that The Dean Academy in Gloucestershire had to temporarily close its doors to deal with a small infestation of 'False Widow' spiders.

Less than two weeks later, it was reported that a family had to leave their home in Hampton after finding a small colony of 'Brazilian Wandering' spiders on bananas that they had bought at their local supermarket.

Finally, an Australian news source reported that a fearsome-looking Huntsman spider had recently been found in a shipping container in East Sussex. The 17 centimeter-long arachnid had apparently hitched a ride in a container full of BMX parts.

Although there have been many over-the-top News headlines popping up around the web (see what I did there?), it is likely that majority of people in Britain are responding this way:

Hopefully, Great Britain will not experience the sort of spider "invasion" that took place on this Australian farm in 2012.
