Response to System Of A Down And Elton John’s “Crocodile Chop” May Have Actually Achieved Mashup Perfection:
Response to How Awful Is Your Taste In Beer?:
So because I’ve drank some of these in my lifetime my taste is somehow diminished? Wouldn’t a more accurate measure of taste quality be the frequency of drinking these beers on a regular basis?
Response to 15 Egregious Sci-Fi Movie Plot Holes:
The Eagles hadn’t chosen to include themselves in the conflict by the time the Fellowship had left Rivendale, so even if Gandalf had tried to recruit them, they probably would have passed. Also, where the citation for humans being only 57% percent water? I have never heard or read any estimate below 70%.
For the last time Skyfall was not that great. It was an improvement from Quantum, but in no possible sense did it surpass Casino Royale. The author bashes Quantum for having a plot with low stakes, but other than trying to blow up the houses of parliament there are no true stakes in the film. Once Silva released the names of the MI6 operatives and killed M, what was his grand plan? Uhhhh….sit back and enjoy his hard work…Virtually no one was in danger in the film short of Bond because he put himself in the danger! The 3rd act trying to tie back to Bond’s origins was a cop-out, Bond only having some dynamite and a rifle made for a boring and unbelievable climax (not to say that this was the first in the series), and pathetically “faking” Bond’s death (I mean really, who bought that shit?) was just lifting from previous films. The whole movie’s purpose was the last 3 minutes; just so they could retcon Craig’s Bond reboot into the familiar continuity (ie: Back at the MI6 office rather than some Hellicarrier looking shit, Moneypenny, and a male M). The ONLY thing in that film superior to previous entries was the theme. Props to Adele on her first enjoyable tune.
