The 5 Quick Childhood Tricks That Make Adulthood Better

When we’re kids we’re thrilled to become adults. Only when there’s no turning back we find out how crummy it can be. Well cheer up! The advice our folks gave us still applies to the more responsible, less field-tripping lives we lead now.

If you can't say something nice…

With the internet in our back pocket (quite often literally thanks to our smart phones) it's easier than ever to pop online and make a hurtful comment about someone. It's not a good look when you have nothing positive to offer the world wide web so just stick to Draw Something when you're not at your nicest.

Just because everyone is doing it doesn't mean you should too.

Who cares how much money he's making? Why does it matter that she's married with a kid and you're not? You never know why someone makes the decisions they do or the consequences they face to making them. Just worry about the speed your life is taking and in which direction it's going.

    Go to bed!

A good and steady sleep schedule works wonders on the mind and body. When you're feeling less than your best, put sleep at the top of your checklist. A good night's rest is essential to a pleasant aura. Positive people will gravitate to the relaxed and together you.

    Eat your vegetables!

You've been on this planet long enough to know there are no shortcuts when it comes to eating healthy. Like sleep your body needs nutrients to properly function and fight off disease. Odds are you just hate steamed, flavorless veggies so try googling a recipe or drinking a protein shake with vegetable servings.

You can do anything you set your mind to.

Sure, being a dinosaur or a princess is pretty slim pickings but for the most part your adult goals are realistic. Don't settle and don't give up. The kid version of you would hate that.
