    I’m pretty sure the poster was being sarcastic…at least I hope so. This kind of reminds me of when there were arguments over who’s song “Hurt” was, Johnny Cash or NIN. Goddamn I feel old and shame on these people who don’t know who The Cure are.

      I agree in part, but you can’t say “shame on you for not knowing X”, because nobody can know *ALL THE THINGS*. The Cure had their highest exposure nearly 30 years ago, so there is a legitimate generation gap.  I know it makes us feel old, but let’s not *shame on them* for being young. Just because something was great for us doesn’t mean the next generation should enjoy all the same stuff. Tastes change. Ask your parents!  So let’s just say “Lucky you, kids! I can recommend some really cool music / books / movies for you to discover.”
