That chat about the English supposedly “paying” for our prescriptions and education isn’t a mild annoyance, it’s rage inducing.
I’m not sure if the person who wrote this has even been to Scotland.
1. That sign for ‘the highlands’ is near Troon, in Ayrshire. Completely different part of the country.
2. Salt and sauce is an East Coast thing, specifically Edinburgh I think, not a Scottish thing.
3. That ‘depressing’ high street picture is fucking stupid, because it’s a picture of a shop in one of the most architecturally beautiful cities in the UK - Glasgow. No mention of the beautiful Victorian buildings, uni, amazing parks or new modern architecture, just one measly picture of a shop. At least show us Paisley if you’re going to slag off depressing city centres.
4. Pubs don’t stay open until 1am unless they’ve applied for a late license. Standard is 12, not 1.
