You know, I thought that the “Preview” function would encourage people to reconsider whatever bits of hatred they post for everyone to see, but I guess I was wrong.

I really don't understand this recent trend in putting down hipsters.

For that matter, the Bible also tells us to stone adulterers, beat your children if they misbehave, and forgo eating shellfish, cutting your hair, and wearing clothes that consist of both linen and wool (I am not joking, it's Leviticus 19:19 I think?). All this in addition to condoning such things as attempting to sacrifice your only child because a disembodied voice told you to do so.

The verses that intolerant Christians cite the most, I believe, are from the Old Testament, specifically Leviticus…but Jesus himself is in the New Testament. The sign-holder was making the very valid point that, though he is often cited to be against homosexuality, Jesus is not recorded to have ever explicitly spoken out against it. It's interesting, isn't it?

So did I.

Ill-advised wording aside, that really isn't the important thing here.
