    Lil' Wayne's Growin' Pains

It's Luke Skywalker vs Darth Vader, urban edition

All parents know that one day their children will grow up and eventually leave the nest to experience life on their own. The same can be said for Bryan "Birdman" Williams and his "son" Dwayne "Lil' Wayne" Carter. At the tender age of 32, Lil' Wayne is ready to take his first musical steps with "The Carter V" without being under Birdman's watchful eye. Like most overbearing parents though, Birdman doesn't think this is the best idea for Wayne. Birdman thinks that the album should be released around the same time Floyd Mayweather fights Manny Pacquaio, early 2017.

So like most rebellious kids, Wayne lashes out on his father, but through poetry. He has a pretty valid argument when he says "Who kept this sh*t together? Me, that's who! Who was there when others left? Me, that's who! Cash Money is an army, I'm a one man army!" This is a surefire way to piss your Dad off and get you grounded for 2-3 months. No phone, no social media, no PS4. The reason why Birdman is holding Wayne's album are unknown to us. But who knows, Birdman could be a huge Scandal fan and doesn't want to have to deal with any music related business until he finds out what's to become of Olivia Pope and the President.

For rap fans across the globe, this family feud is saddening. Long gone are the glory days of Birdman & Wayne. They've given great memories like "Stuntin Like My Daddy" and "Pop Bottles." How am I supposed to watch a Lil' Wayne video knowing that there will be no appearance by Birdman rubbing his hands together like an evil genius from Power Rangers. We've watched these two grow together since 1997, when Lil' Wayne rap skills were on par with Aaron Carter and Birdman went by "Baby" with rap skills on par with the guy who did the rap in Michael Jackson's "Black or White." As the years progressed, Wayne would grow to become one of the best rappers alive, while Birdman continued tradition and ruined every song he blessed his vocals with.

With Wayne seemingly moving out of the Cash Money compound and taking his friends Drake and Nicki Minaj with him, Birdman is left with Young Thug, a popular rapper that embraces English as a second language. When will we all get to hear "The Carter V?" Probably around the time the Khaleesi reaches Westeros. How will this end? Only time and a judge will tell. Ya undasmell me? Brrrrrrruooo.
