A Veterinarian Was Fired After Posting A Photo Of A Cat She Allegedly Killed With A Bow And Arrow

    A photo of the veterinarian with the dead cat have gone viral and sparked outrage.

    Dr. Kristen Lindsey, who works at Washington Animal Clinic in Brenham, Texas, is in hot water after posting a picture of a dead cat with an arrow in its head, according to KBTX.

    Lindsey posted the photo Wednesday to Facebook, bragging about killing the cat in her neighborhood. The photo's caption reads:

    My first bow kill, lol. The only good feral tomcat is one with an arrow through it's head! Vet of the year award ... Gladly accepted.

    The image, which was shared by Texas Animal Cruelty Laws, quickly went viral and has sparked outrage on social media.

    True Blue Animal Rescue in Brenham told KBTX that the cat was actually one of their foster cats named Tiger, and not feral like Lindsey stated in her post.

    In spite of the initial outrage, Lindsey commented that she wouldn't be fired.

    Since the posting KBTX has confirmed that Lindsey has been fired, and incident is being looked into by the Austin County Sheriff's Office.

    The Texas Veterinary Medical Association released a statement addressing the post.
