    15. Kendrick Lamar- it's kind of a big deal if you don't know this name. Like a REALLY big deal but that's okay. If you like hip hop/rap, then you most definitely have heard of him. His album good kid mA.A.d city went platinum, and he deserved it. From Section. 80, to his latest wrap up with Eminem, he proves himself a capable artist, whether creatively, musically, or lyrically. But seriously, check him out. Click on the link. NOW.

    14. M.I.A.-Sri Lankan born artist, M.I.A. aka Mathangi "Maya," was raised during the terrible civil war that occurred there. After several years of turmoil and dodging bullets, she eventually made her way to the safety of Europe. Her latest album, just now released, "MATANGI," is pop infused with bits of M.I.A.'s radical and political views. Her previous albums, "Kala" and "Arular" were critically acclaimed, and as always, she presents herself in the most creative ways.

    13. Daniel Avery- He's an IDM DJ aka Intelligent Dance Music. There's a distinct difference between plain EDM and IDM, mind you. If you like Deadmau5, you'll like Avery. His soft beats escalade, slowly incorporating new sounds, gradually giving this casual, invigorating energy.

    12. The Weeknd-I was obsessed with this guy. He has this Michael Jackson feel, with some R&B plus hip hop. A Canadian artists who lyrics just make you wonder what he's experienced and been through, he's is a rising star. His songs from his past mix tapes revolve around these dark, intense lyrics that leave you wondering about everything in your life.

    11. Lana del Rey-I'm sure we've all heard her. She has this voice that's like Marilyn Monroe's only fuller and what the media calls, 'hollywood sadcore.' It just kinda lulls you to sleep, and like the Weeknd, her lyrics make you think about her past, and your's too.*WARNING* video contains some inappropriate content, though I highly doubt that'll stop you from watching.

    10. Frank Ocean-Guys, I love this man. He is amazing. Ocean, part of that awesome crew OFWGKTA, has this somewhat r&B sound, but you can't limit it to that only. What I really love about him is how symbolic his songwriting skills are, and how he turns an entire song into a real piece of expression, thought, and emotion. CHECK HIM OUT.

    9. The Neighbourhood- A California indie rock band. Jesse Rutherford has the most seductive voice in the world. No joke. The band itself has this gritty, new sound that's the most refreshing change from this generation of meaningless auto-tuned songs THAT THE ARTISTS DON'T WRITE. Appreciate the fact that all of these people featured on here have written their own songs, and continue to do so.

    8. Alt J-BRITISH BAND. Alt J has THE most original sound, mainly because of their lead singer, Joe Newman. His voice...is magical, and completely different that changes from this incredible low to high with this breathtaking sound. They're an indie band, and it's a band that I feel like you either hate it or love it. They were one of my main obsessions, and if they ever come near your area, GO SEE THEM LIVE. Because honestly, they put on the best experience ever.

    7. Jessie Ware- guys, it's another Brit. They have such good taste in music/they produce the best artists. Ware has this smooth R&B resonance that makes you think of dreams, class, and wine. Her voice is soft but strong, and I legitimately fall asleep with her music playing on my phone.

    6. The xx- We're on a British Music Rampage. This trio is an indie electro band that came from the Elliott School, though they really don't credit their greatness to them. Their DJ, Jamie Smith, gives them that ambient-like feeling, and Oliver Sim's deep velvety voice and Romy Madley Croft's complete this band.

    5. Jake Bugg- English/Brit, of course. Jake Bugg, brand new fresh face. Destined to become a legend, I swear. He's folky, a bit like Bob Dylan and only 19. He's one of those talented young artists that are emerging, like Lorde (she's next). I saw him live, and no joke, it was breathtaking. There was rain, it was ice cold, but the way he strummed that guitar and sang into the mike, it was worth the freezing rain.

    4. Lorde- We've all heard her song "Royals" by now, and I am playing it again. She's only seventeen, and like Jake Bugg, is in that crop of young and brilliant musicians. Hailing from New Zealand, she's already covered the number single on the Billboard Charts, and entrances the world with her mature vocals.

    3. The Black Keys- Like Kendrick Lamar, if you haven't heard of these guys and you live in the Western Hemisphere, we have a problem. They bring back that classic rock and roll, consisting of Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney. Patrick plays the drums, and Dan rolls along as guitarist and vocalist. Good vibes, mang.

    2. Iggy Azalea-Australian, white blonde haired Azalea is taking the world over with her rhymes and authenticity. She's worked a lot of collabs with T.I. and has this distinct rapping style that makes everyone want to learn how to be a rapper. Not only is she a great musician, but she's also an artist, model, and gifted person.

    1. London Grammar-A trio made up of the lovely Hannah Reid who has this full, strong voice like Adele and Florence Welch put together, Dot Major who kinda plays everything and just magically pulls it all together, and Dan Rotham who creates these gorgeous, simplistic sounds with his guitar. They deserve the fame and success, and contain a significant amount of genius and brilliance. BUY THEIR ALBUM
