Why You Should Have Watched NBC’s "The New Normal"

Starring Andrew Rannells, Justin Bartha, and Georgia King as a gay couple and their surrogate, this smart, self-aware comedy was ahead of it’s time, and your consciousness, America.

The cast included stars of Broadway, Film, Television, and "The Real Housewives...".

Andrew Rannells and Justin Bartha were adorable as the show’s main couple, Bryan and David.

Yes, Justin Bartha from "The Hangover" and the "National Treasure" series.

And Andrew Rannells, A.K.A. Elijah, from HBO’s "Girls"...

Or, for theatre majors who can’t afford premium cable, Elder Price from "The Book of Mormon".

The show also starred quite possibly the best child actress of her generation, Bebe Wood, who impersonated everyone from Little Edie, to Cher, to Maggie Smith, during the course of the show.

Ellen Barkin played the current Governor of Arizona, Jan Brewer.

Ok, not really, but the similarities are astounding.

The show had the wit of Ryan Murphy produced dramas, like "Glee", "American Horror Story", and "Nip/Tuck", all compressed into a half hour sitcom.

Pop culture references were abundant and GIF-able.

You dropped the ball on this one America. Now go back to counting how many sex jokes "Two and Half Men" can fit into one episode.
