    ALL of this mess started when Republicans shoved massive tax cuts through while pushing two wars and Medicare part D off budget where their expenses could be ignored as long as Republicans were in control of the White House. Republicans seem to believe that when you have surplus money, instead of paying off bills, you should cut your income so that you live paycheck to paycheck with no surplus or reserve for hard times. No senseable person does this with their income, neither should the government.
