A situation where in lieu of a full-scale war, a populace was dusted with this stuff and then the suggestion was made that they overthrow their current ruling regime is a pretty interesting notion.

I'd wager that if it were possible to effectively weaponize it, someone would have before now. I can't imagine it didn't cross the minds of the Nazis, and if they had it in the '40s, the US clearly had it shortly thereafter, and if anyone could have figured out how to turn this stuff into a terrible weapon, it's the US. The fact that it didn't happen during the 20th century leads me to believe that somewhere along the line someone who knows about these things figured out that it either wouldn't work or would end up being more trouble than it's worth.
You know it's been used in wars for a long time, right?
A compelling argument!
Mind=blown for a number of reasons.
That's an interesting argument, especially when you consider that many religions encapsulate vast numbers of laws regarding everything from what you can eat to how you should pray. Maybe it doesn't count if you call them “commandments.”
Not for nothing, but one could make the argument that in this day and age marriage is more of a civil institution than a religious one. After all, try getting married in a church, but not filing the paperwork, see if your marriage is “recognized.” As such, even bringing religion into the equation opens up a whole can of worms best kept lidded, in my opinion. After all, the whole separation of church and state used to be about protecting you people. You can't have it both ways, I'm afraid.
Aha! Thank you for clearing that up.
So, wikipedia (I know, but I don't have time this morning for an in-depth search) says that the constitution of NC has over twenty amendments. How, then, does this become “Amendment 1?”
What do you expect from a Bond villain?
