31. You have the winningest college football team in the history of college football. Oh wait. Regrdless, congrats on your undefeated. Michigan has the most undefeated seasons of teams currently competing in Division I-A/FBS (23), though.

These young, intelligent contributors are the future of MSNBC, and the reason why it will persevere. Compare to FOX, where there really isn’t much young and exciting talent.
Those of you interested in fountain pens (wonderful writing instruments! I would never choose to go back to lower forms, such as ballpoints and pencils), check out The Goulet Pen Company online (no affiliation). Wonderful place for pens and ink! Only place I shop for my fountain pen needs.
Instead of “more traditional” punishments, my father required I do multiplication tables and pages from math work books. Average punishment was doing 1X20 up to 20x20. In my head. As an 8 year old.
Swag.
That melodica version is one of the greatest things on the internet.
Brilliant.
I wouldn’t say the song is meant to be sobbed through… the scene, however, was. Like I said, her acting was wonderful.
I totally agree. I was basing my statement off of his career experience. Samantha was arguable the best.
Redmayne mmight have more “musical chops” than Samantha Barks, but no way does Hathaway. I don’t discredit her acting performance… but musically? No way. She choked her songs out through sobs. Barks is undeniably the better singer… plus she can display emotions such as misery without sobbing through her performance to show you that, hey! she’s sad.
I love how all of the Constitutional scholars surface in the comments thread (especially the Facebook one) of Buzzfeed. Great to see such a thorough understanding of the Constitution by such a large amount of people! /sarcasm For my own part, while I am no Constitutional scholar, I say good for Congresswoman Feinstein. Furthermore, I don’t quite understand the argument that pro-gun advocates continue to make when discussing the subject of gun control. The specific argument I am talking about is: “Ohmagerd, without our semi-auto copies of military grade weapons (side note, former military leaders have agreed that these weapons shouldn’t belong in the hands of civilians), we will surely fall victim to a tyrannical gubmint! Who will protect us when they take away our guns?!” What exactly do you think your little rifles will do against the United States? I don’t think you understand the strength of the United States military. Oh, but so many gun advocates are simultaneously living in fear of our government but proud of our strong military? And pro-gun Republicans also refuse to touch the military budget and scale it down? That confounds me! A bunch of civs with rifles would be crushed by the US government if they tried to revolt- er, “protect themselves from tyrants”. Even if military personnel refused to fight against civilians, the government will still crush them, as they no longer need boots on the ground to do their work. They can press some buttons, send an unmanned robot through the skies and rain death upon whoever they so chose. But, we NEED GUNS to protect us from the government. The time has already come and gone where first world government could be violently overthrown by the people. And don’t even get me started on why “We NEED more than ten rounds!”
And now, the flood of people bashing people who wear furs.
Yes, animals are “exploited” to get our dairy, eggs, etc. And yes, they are “murdered” so we can feast off of their flesh. But honestly… I really don’t care at all. I am sure I would care if I’m being exploited, but I’m not. I am a human. I make the choice to eat a steak, or a rack of baby back ribs, fried chicken, or foie gras. It’s delicious. Call me selfish, I don’t mind. I’m sure if I was exploited, or anywhere on the food chain other than at the top, I would mind. But then I wouldn’t be writing this post. The argument that it’s immoral to exploit poor animals for our enjoyment doesn’t matter. We exploit other humans, be it their labor or their emotions, all the time. I think it’s fruitless to try to guilt meat eaters into becoming vegans. I don’t think that we are oblivious to the fact that animals are killed to produce the meat we eat, or are exploited for honey and milk. I speak for myself when I ask… So?
Someone is overreacting…
Say what you will about them being “sick” (which I would contest), but in no way are they disorganized. Is was actually pretty impressive that they were able to (and are consistently able to) pull these kinds of things off on such a large scale.
NOTHING beats Big Ten Bands in terms of musicality, discipline, and marching ability. Our high step is arguably the most technically challenging and most aesthetically pleasing in college marching. The Michigan Marching Band, of course, is top of the top. However, I am biased. Was never much of a football fan before playing at Michigan games, in front of 110+ thousand fans.
I agree, we need to look at American culture as a whole. What role do games play, as opposed to film, or television, or written word, or music on the radio? We need careful analysis as to what contributes to the negatives of American culture. However, the same films we see here can be seen in Australia; the same tv shows can be seen in Great Britain. All of these things are hardly exclusive to the US. Which is why I believe that there should be much more weight on firearms in the national conversation, as they are a distinguishing factor.
Call of Duty is one of the best selling media franchises of all time. Millions of people play. There aren’t millions of mass murderers among us. Yes, the murdered played “violent” games- so do millions of others. Why can’t we call him a murderer who happened to also play these games and be done with it? Focus on the thing closest to the problem: the availability of high capacity semi auto rifles and ammo. I can buy a box full of 2000 rounds of ammo, as well as a semi auto M4 for less than $2000 at a local store. That is the real problem.
