18 Things “Now & Then” Taught Us About Sex, Love, & Relationships

Thank you, Chrissy, for asking all the questions we wanted answered.

Oct. 20 marks the 18th anniversary of Now & Then’s release. And in honor of the movie’s major milestone, here are some of the most important things we learned from Chrissy, Roberta, Sam, and Teeny, young and old.

1. A lot of women are unhappy with the size of their boobs. Big…

Or small.

2. Actually, people are unhappy with their bodies in general.

3. But “hose” size doesn’t matter.

4. Speaking of “hoses”…

5. Short shorts and tall boots will definitely turn heads.

6. You may love your parents, but you don’t always like them…or know them.

7. Not every marriage will last.

8. These three things get people pretty excited.

9. French kissing can potentially lead to baby-making.

10. It’s OK to not like pink.

11. That nerd could become your husband one day.

12. Because disdain can turn to love very quickly.

13. “It’s normal for things to be shitty.”

14. Sometimes, people lie to protect the ones they love.

15. This is how a baby (literally) pops out.

16. Just because you’ve been hurt, it doesn’t mean you should stop living.

17. Especially, when it comes to love.

18. But no matter what happens, you’ll always have your friends.
