When I was a kid and our 2 year old German Shepard, Duke, became too much for my great-grandmother to handle we gave him to a small town PD in northern California. They promptly renamed him NED. For Nigger Eating Dog. No joke, and not great for a 7 year old kid to find out either. The good news is apparently racists are at least smart enough to understand how acronyms work. If they didn’t all struggle against the concept so much I’d almost say they’re evolving!
