Who designed these? Is it a joke? Why does the writer think that all recognizable logos are going to become blocks of colour? I get advertising, and brands, but all of these logos are featured on products, does anyone really expect to see a blue block and think “Oooh, IBM” or think that VW is going to render a design they've kept for 70 years unidentifiable?

These all seemed like legitimate brand progressions until I got to Starbucks, which I think you can still actually rationalize. Gap and Motorola are hilarious!
