1. You hated your uniform at first, but then learned to love it after realizing how it divided you from regular new york city students
2. Your school used to be an old New York townhouse/mansion
3. You wanted desperately to be apart of the 13-year club
4. You had to deal with the irrational drama that comes with attending a single sex school
5. You cabbed it every day in the winter because your only options for bottoms other than your skirt were these horrifyingly ugly bell bottom sweatpants

13. While most students carried around a jansport, you toted your tory burch or louis vuitton
14. It was a sin to shop at target. No matter how you pronounced it.
15. Juiceries and Starbucks were your immediate after school snack since there were at least three within a five block radius of your school
16. Your brothers and fathers attended private all boys schools
17. And took classes at Knickerbocker after school
18. At least half the girls in your class were debs
19. Some even had their coming out parties in Paris
20. You knew about Brandy Melville, LF and Topshop before everyone else
21. Girls who were excluded from chelsea piers birthday parties started the equivalent of wars
22. While bat/bar mitzvahs in rural areas were held at the synagogue, the ones you went to were held in high-end locations that even most adults couldn't get into
23. ...And with $1,000,000 budgets
24. Even though you act annoyed when everyone asks you if your life is like gossip girl, you secretly love it
25. And while it was airing, seeing it filmed became such a common experience that you didn't even feel the need to text your friends the shooting location

33. Bear Mountain trips seemed fun at first until you remembered that goose poop occupied at least 60% of the ground
34. You laughed at the ridiculous inaccuracy of NYC Prep
35. You knew at least five people who had auditioned for - and got roles in - Law and Order
36. While normal people started averaging at six hours of homework a night in 10th grade, you started in 6th
37. You knew a dealer for each illegal substance, whether you did it or not
38. You never spent more money than what you spent on in 7th grade
39. With the majority of your friends being Jewish, you basically were a pro at Hebrew after 7th grade
40. Bat/Bar Mitzvah gifts ranged from $100 sweatpants/sweatshirts sets to $1000 Hermes Bracelets
41. Everyone raved at how easy Harvard was compared to the courses you took at your school
42. What private pre-school you attended basically shaped your lower-school social life
43. If any of your schools went to boarding school for high school, they all transferred to the founders school
44. If someone was caught at your school with drugs, the story would be in the New York times the next morning
45. You still don't understand how classmates from Queens or the Bronx made it to school in time each morning
