_Young Americans_ was a spin-off of _Dawson's Creek_ that lasted one season. It featured a story where a girl disguised herself as a boy to get her mother's attention, which would eventually be depicted better in the iconic film _She's the Man_.

_Glory Days_ was a 2002 mystery series created by Kevin Williamson that aired on the WB. It lasted one season.

This 2001 primetime soap was canceled by FOX after four episodes and the rest of the season was burned off in the subsequent summer. It was a dark, satirical take on primetime soaps from Mike White, who would later go on to mine similar ground in HBO's _Enlightened_.

_Reaper_ was a 2007 CW series starring Bret Harrison as a soul retriever for the Devil. It lasted two seasons.

Bette Midler's debut in a lead TV role aired for one season on CBS from 2000-2001. Lindsay Lohan was cast in the pilot, but when Bette moved production of the series from New York to Los Angeles, Lindsay dropped out.

This 2005 Fox sitcom starred Pamela Anderson as a former party girl turned bookseller.

_South Beach_ was a primetime soap produced by Jennifer Lopez that lasted 8 episodes on UPN.

_Taina_ aired for two seasons on Nickelodeon. It told the story of Taina Morales and her aspirations to become a singer and actress while attending a performing arts school in New York.

This Lucy Liu-led series lasted one season on ABC in 2008. Created by Darren Star, it was about a group of ambitious women in New York who formed a "Cashmere Mafia" to exist opposite the boys' club of the business world.

_Dead Last_ was a 2001 series about a band named The Problems that traveled the country solving supernatural mysteries.

Julia Louis-Dreyfus' return to NBC was in _Watching Ellie_, a sitcom that played out in real-time. That format was abandoned for its second and final season.

_Cane_ was a drama starring Jimmy Smits as the head of a family running a rum and sugar business in South Florida. It was pitched as a Latino version of _The Sopranos_.

Heather Graham starred in this ABC sitcom about a self-help book writer who navigated her way through romance. Unfortunately, she only navigated through one episode before the show was canceled.

Starring Yasmine Bleeth, _Titans_ was an Aaron Spelling-produced soap intended to be the '00s version of _Dynasty_. It was canceled after one season.

_Paradise Hotel_ was a reality show set at a luxury resort where people were to compete to see who could stay the longest. Mostly, they just slept with each other.
