Is Scientology Self-Destructing?

imathetan 5 months agoWhy all the hate against Scientology? I’ve been a Scientologist my whole life, and I’ve seen the good it can do. Scientology auditing saves lives. Just because the “books are closed” you are assuming the church is hoarding the money - has it never occurred to you that maybe that money might have been used to save lives?

coryb2 5 months ago@Imathetan: I’ve been to scientology events. I still know it’s a scam. My aunt died of cancer 20 years ago after being an active scientologist for several years. She lived in the house I inherited. She still to this day gets mail from the local org, as well as hand written letters from the people in charge of the org and people from the org have come to my home looking for her. They’re all only asking her for money. They don’t want to know how she is, they don’t ask why she hasn’t been back or why my mother and other aunt had to physically remove her from the org the last time she was there. They ask for money. If scientology saved lives, she would still be with us. But she’s not. Do some research before you respond again. Please.

imathetan 5 months agoFor some reason it seems like anti-Scientologists are obsessed with “DM”… I don’t know David Miscavige. I know my friends and I know what I’ve seen: people working to help eachother up the bridge to total freedom. (by the way, I can’t seem to load your video so I can’t really comment on it) Anyway, of course it isn’t a “slush fund” (whatever that is) - that money belongs to the IAS, and the IAS uses it to help disaster victims, to get people off drugs, to fight psychiatric abuse, and to improve worldwide education. Just go to a Scientology event sometime and you’ll see exactly what that money is really being used for. I don’t know why there is so much misinformation about this on the net…
