19 Realisations Every Indian Has When They Graduate From University

    Well. That was uni-xpected.

    1. You will now emptily pause before you answer "So beta, padhai kaisi chal rahi hai?"

    2. You'll realise that you can actually look good sometimes.

    3. And your face wasn't programmed to melt by birth; it was just university all along.

    4. If you're not employed right after, you won't know what to do with yourself now that you have all this time.

    5. And you were expecting to start rolling in money from the get go but you aren't even getting any interview calls.

    6. If you've had a few interviews, you've come to the painful realisation that your GPA did not matter to the employer.

    7. "The hardest part is over" will sound like bullshit because getting your degree processed has turned out to be your biggest nightmare.

    8. And you'll feel like an unwelcome stranger whenever you visit in the process.

    9. The most unexpected wedding pictures of your classmates will pop up on Facebook.

    10. But wait a minute... THEY'RE NOT MARRYING THE PERSON THEY DATED IN UNI FOR YEARS?

    11. You'll have a bit of a panic attack upon realising your student life is actually over.

    12. Remember that classmate you said you can't stand? You're going to think about them too.

    13. You will be exposed to well-groomed members of the opposite sex for the first time in your life.

    14. Your university hardship stories won't get any acknowledgement from employers or family.

    15. A bunch of people will tell you "there is no scope" for whatever you got a degree in.

    16. You'll find yourself defending your uni, even if it was terrible and you hated it.

    17. Prepare to hear yourself say "when I was your age" while talking to university students only weeks after graduating.

    18. But god forbid you're a woman and you'll realise more relatives are interested in getting you married than you could imagine.

    19. Most astonishingly: you're suddenly the apple of your family's eye.
