Things I Overheard At The Yeezus Tour

I went to Kanye West's performance in Los Angeles and stood next to someone who appeared to only be a casual listener. If you're a big Kanye fan, you'll love the show. If not, you might be a little confused during some parts. These are some of the things I overheard.

"Does this seem satanic to you?"

    I mean, maybe a little, I guess.

"Why is he wearing those things on his head?"

I don't know. Kanye has four different masks he wears in his shows. One has studs, one has tiles, one has mirrors, and one has jewels. They were designed by Maison Martin Margiela. He wears a mask for most of the show, but takes it off when he meets Jesus.

"What song is he singing now?"

You can find the setlist for his Los Angeles show here.

"The only thing I've heard him say is 'sh*t.'"

He did say that word quite a few times, didn't he?

"That animal is just sitting there..."

There was a beast with red eyes that appeared after he performed "Coldest Winter," and it did a lot of lurking.

*points* "Do you see him? He's on top of the mountain."

    Ahh, that's where he went.

    "That's so disrespectful."

Near the end of the show, an actor portraying Jesus comes out. Kanye told San Francisco radio station Wild 94.9 that it isn't meant to be offensive. "Any time the word Jesus can be used more in our lives, it's a good thing," he said. "We do plays all the time where people play Jesus. What's awesome about Christianity is that we're able to portray God. We're allowed to draw an image of him. We're allowed to make movies about him. In other religions, you're not allowed to do that."

*points to Khloe Kardashian's Instagram* "They're here."

Khloe Kardashian was at the show.
