Ellen DeGeneres’ Record-Breaking Oscars Selfie Vanished From Twitter

The most retweeted tweet of all time vanished Tuesday. Update: About an hour after Twitter posted a bug was causing some tweets to not be visible, the tweet reappeared.

Ellen DeGeneres' group selfie from the Oscars disappeared from Twitter Tuesday.

The most retweeted tweet of all time, gone.

The URL of the tweet took users to a "Sorry, that page doesn't exist" page.

Other photos from Oscar night were still up at the time, however.

Twitter said in a statement it was researching a bug causing tweets to not be visible.

"We are currently researching a bug that has caused some Tweets to not be displayed."

Update — 3/25 at 5:56 p.m. PT: The tweet is now back online.

Update — 3/26 at 11:21 a.m. PT: Twitter posted an update that the bug had been resolved.

"This issue has been resolved, and affected Tweets, along with the favorites and retweets on those Tweets, have been restored."
