@Vikka - Surrrrre ear piercing is NOTHING like a tattoo. It’s just a hole pierced through soft tissue with needles for decorative purposes with no pain relief which takes a long time and care to heal, can often have complications, bleeding and is permanent because even if you remove earrings and let them close, there will be a scar and only the surface really closes. And a tattoo is….a drawing done on the skin soft tissue with needles for decorative purposes with no pain relief which takes a long time to heal, which can often have complications, bleeding and is permanent because even if the tattoo is removed it will leave a scar….shit, totally different sorry! Oh and circumcision is totally different too what was I thinking! Although I don’t condone this or any practice in which a child is hurt for a social, cultural or religious practice, I find the level of hypocrisy ridiculous in these comments. How many of you have your baby boys circumcised for your societal or religious beliefs or your baby girls ears pierced so that they can have gender identification as female in the early months when baby’s faces can be gender ambiguous? I find this video appalling; but, maybe you should keep in mind that all cultural and social accepted forms of body modification on children, done to them well before the age at which they are able to give consent is really in the same realm as this. Just because many do it, doesn’t make it right.

Shanna that is the best example of ignorance I have ever seen, good job! I doubt she was a boy who wanted to get plastic surgery to be pretty and got a sex change…they are two different things. You can’t just “learn to love the body you are in” if you are trapped in the body of the wrong gender.
