My 2 children are 2 and 5 years old and my eldest has never even noticed that cerrie has one arm shorter than the other and is missing a hand and my youngest is too young to notice at the moment but i am sure she will be the same i dont see what the problem is children should see these kind of things it doesnt scare them it scares the parents as they are afraid of answering awkward questions my 2 little girls enjoy watching cerrie on cbeebies too much to notice her arm i think people should leave her alone she is fantastic at her job so i dont see a problem .

The parents who object to Cerrie Burnell's disability ought to be ashamed of themselves. I was also born with a short arm missing one hand. Small children will ask me in the street what happened to my arm. I am happy to tell them, but often the parent pulls the child away and says that they shouldn't ask. It's the parents who can't accept anything other than a sanitised world with perfect bodies - if it's not perfect enough you can go to a plastic surgeon and have it changed, can't you? Now that's what I call sick! Small children have open minds and accept life for what it is. Isn't that wonderful and worth preserving?
