1. A is for Aunt Sarah
“Oh… that wicked animal, attacking my poor, innocent little angels, MERCIFUL HEAVENS!!”
This dog hater is featured in Lady and the Tramp as the owner of the tricky siamese cats, Si and Am. She banishes Lady from the house and even puts a muzzle on her.
2. B is for the Big Bad Wolf
This villain comes from Disney’s Silly Symphonies shorts, specifically The Three Little Pigs. I mean come on, he wants to eat the helpless little pigs! You can’t get more evil than that.
3. C is for Cruella de Vil
Cruella de Vil is one of the fiercest villains in Disney history. While she may not have magical powers, she has a very catchy theme song to go along with her quest to kill puppies. (Dalmatian coats, really?)
4. D is for Doctor Facilier
Also known as “The Shadow Man,” this Princess and the Frog villain is cunning and a voodoo master of dark magic. He’s the man that tricks Naveen into becoming a frog in the first place. He’s pretty much the ultimate creep.
5. E is for Evil Queen
She’s the original villain. The one who ordered for precious Snow White’s heart to be brought back to her in a box. She’s insanely jealous of the princess and is known today as one of the most menacing Disney villains.
6. F is for Frollo
One of the cruelest and scariest villains for one reason: he truly thinks he is a good person. He forces Quasimodo to stay up in the top of the church, banishing him from society after murdering his mother. Safe to say he’s not a great guy.
7. G is for Gaston
Okay, I know we’re supposed to really hate Gaston but he’s so amusing that sometimes it’s hard to remember he’s a villain. Yet, in reality he’s narcissistic and sexist. He only wants Belle because she’s pretty and let’s not forget that scene where he stabs the Beast. Bad guy for sure.
8. H is for Hades
Hades is the god of the Underworld. A good guy simply can’t have that job. Aside from that, he has baby Hercules kidnapped and he tries to take over Olympus, not to mention he holds Meg as a prisoner for most of the movie.
9. I is for Incredible
While we can’t help but hate on these good for nothing villains, we have to admit that their powers, their demeanor, and their need to be bad is pretty incredible.
10. J is for Jafar
To put it simply, Jafar is a psychopath. He has an obsessive craving for power and has no problem destroying anyone that gets in his way. Watch out for his golden cobra staff: it’s filled with evil magical powers.
11. K is for King Candy
This king is not even a king at all. As the true villain of Wreck It Ralph, King Candy hacked into the code of the game to isolate Vanellope from society. He shows how power hungry he truly is when he turns himself into a cy-bug (ew). Good thing that lead to his demise.
12. L is for Lyle T. Rourke
After recently watching Atlantis: The Lost Empire, it was clear to me that Lyle T. Rourke may be one of the meanest and overlooked Disney Villains of all time. He’s bossy, calculating, arrogant, and violent. He was willing to destroy all of Atlantis to get rich! Talk about a bad guy.
13. M is for Maleficent
Maleficent is the evil sorceress from Sleeping Beauty. She’s jealous when she’s not invited to Aurora’s christening, so she seeks revenge by placing a curse on the young Princess. Look out for her on the big screen this July in her own self titled film!
14. N is for Narissa
Enchanted’s Queen Narissa is one crazy lady. She’s basically a combination between the Queen from Snow White, Maleficent, and Lady Tremaine from Cinderella. She’s beautiful, full of dark magical powers, and ruthless. Don’t mess with Queen Narissa.
15. O is for Oogie Boogie
Not to be forgotten, the Oogie Boogie man from The Nightmare Before Christmas is one of the creepiest villains of all. He’s abusive and filled with thousands of bugs (gross). In the film he tortures SANTA! What kind of creature tortures Santa Claus? Oh right, a villain. However, he has a very catchy song.
16. P is for Pirates
Disney has a whole slew of villainous pirates, starting with Captain Hook of course. He’s menacing and cunning, but is more of a fool than anything else. His portrayal in ABC’s Once Upon A Time however is quite appealing if you ask me.
18. Q is for the Queen of Hearts
You best not paint her roses, or this Queen will shout “Off with their heads!” She’s arguably the most mad of all who reside in Wonderland, but she’s also the most dangerous because she’s the ruler.
Alice described her best as a “fat, pompous, bad-tempered old tyrant.”
19. R is for Randall
Eeek. Just looking at Monsters Inc’s Randall makes my skin crawl. He is selfish, sneaky, and crafty. What makes him powerful is his chameleon like abilities. If I were Boo, I would be absolutely terrified to see this creature come out of my closet.
20. S is for Scar
Scar is a murderer. I don’t think there’s a Disney fan out there who hasn’t cried during the scene where Mufasa is killed. Let’s all take a moment to remember it was Scar’s fault. Who’s one of the worst villains now? That’s right. It’s Scar.
21. T is for Toy Santa
In the Santa Clause 2 we are introduced to this fake, toy version of “Santa” who’s supposed to help run the North Pole smoothly while Scott Calvin tries to find a wife. This odd plastic version of Santa takes over as a dictator and almost ruins Christmas!
22. U is for Ursula
All hail one of the greatest villains to date: Ursula the sea witch! She’s half human, half octopus and quite sinister. She’s very persuasive and tricks the people of the sea into making deals with her, including our very own Ariel. When they fail she turns them into tiny polyps!
23. V is for Virtuouso
If there is one thing we can all agree upon, it’s that the Disney Villains have some of the greatest Disney songs of all time. They’ve all got some serious music skills hidden beneath those scary, vicious faces.
24. W is for Wicked Stepmother
Cinderella’s wicked stepmother (also known as Lady Tremaine) is cold, bitter, and abusive for no real reason at all. She is jealous of her step-daughter’s beautiful features and is motivated by a hunger for power and status. She’s fierce.
25. X is for eXtra magical powers
The Disney Villains are notorious for their extra powerful magic. They’re malicious and frightening to encounter, but even more so if they’re looking to use their magic on you. Be careful around these bad guys; they could do some serious damage!
26. Y is for Yzma
Yzma is the main villain of The Emperor’s New Groove franchise. She is quite entertaining, but don’t let that fool you she’s evil and wants to overthrow Kuzco and become Empress of the empire!
27. Z is for Zurg
Zurg is Buzz Lightyear’s arch-nemesis. He’s inspired by one the world’s greatest villains, Darth Vader. He’s evil, mean, and devilish. I have to admit he’s pretty great for a villain.
