My name is Zach, and I am yet another twenty-something who has found myself unable to find a job due to this less-than-stellar economy.
I have been unemployed for ten months, and I would greatly appreciate any help I can get in finding a job. Being employed means that I won’t have to move back in with my parents. As much as I love home-cooked meals, I don’t think I can quite bear the prospect of eating tapioca pudding while watching “60 Minutes” with my baby-boomer parents.
Here is a quick summary of my educational experience:
Master’s degree from Cambridge in Gender Studies
Bacehlor’s degree in History from the University of Georgia
- Honors College
- Graduated magna cum laude
- Received a full-tuition scholarship
I also have quite a bit of work experience. This includes:
Legislative Aide in the Georgia House of Representatives
Intern for Senator Hillary Clinton
Intern for Congressman John Lewis
In these positions I conducted a significant amount of legislative research, wrote policy memos and briefs, and performed a lot of administrative functions, such as answering phones, sorting mail, creating schedules, and coordinating travel arrangements.
I am currently living in Washington, D.C. but I am willing to re-locate to pretty much anywhere I can find work.
If you are interested in my qualifications, or know someone who may be interested, I would be more than happy to send you my resume.
