Everyone who is ranting and raving about the elephant electrocution, it’s not like Edison just sought out an elephant to kill for fun. The elephant had trampled numerous handlers, and the circus that owned the elephant decided that putting the animal to death would be their best option. Edison agreed to use his invention. In all honesty, it was probably the best option they had at the time. They couldn’t just release an elephant into the wild that had been brought up by humans. It would have needed some serious rehabilitation to live successfully in the wild, and I just don’t believe there was a resource for that at the time.
I really want to point out the gay hate that bisexuals receive. I know that not every gay person is this way, but in my largely gay group of friends, I was always an outsider. I was always mocked for my feelings, when I would never judge another for theirs. Being told that there is no way that a person could be interested in both sexes is wrong on so many levels. No one chooses their sexuality, remember the video with the guy asking straight people when they chose? It never happens. I knew from a young age that women were beautiful, amazing creatures, and I knew that I was equally attracted to men. I have dated more women than men, but that doesn’t make me a lesbian. I love my husband, and we get to check out chicks together. Also, they forgot “when your straight friends find out about your sexuality, they automatically assume you are flirting, hitting on them, or have a crush on them.”
I don’t really think any of these are offensive.. As a plus sized female who is working on getting healthy (not skinny) I can relate to most of these. I don’t eat anywhere near as badly as many of my “average” sized friends, but I’m not going to tell them they are doing it wrong. What you do to your body is your choice. I think anyone who is actually offended by these needs to be honest with themselves. I got to weight that I am due to an unhealthy diet and a health issue. I’ve changed my diet and increased my physical activity to make up for the health issue that will forever be an issue. Do I eat ice cream and candy sometimes? You’re damn right I do. I’m proud of my body and the changes I’ve been able to make to it, I will embrace my curves and keep as much of them as possible while I continue to lose weight, but I do not think of myself as a “fat girl” and I don’t think you should either. I wouldn’t have sex for food, ever. I know I very rarely eat fast food, and I tend to make better choices when I do. If you know you wouldn’t do these things, don’t be offended by them. That simple.
Response to Is This Bunny In A Sink Cute Or Terrifying?:
My rabbits respond the same way to baths, if the camera quality had been better the teeth grinding would have been more noticeable, which at a calm rate indicates happiness. His nostrils weren’t flaring, his eyes weren’t wide with fear. Rabbits scream when they are in mortal terror, this rabbit was merely in a trance. I have never had a rabbit that I couldn’t trance by positioning them belly up and petting. Before you judge, read up on rabbit behaviors.
Those of you saying you have rabbits but never bathe them, that’s fine too, you’ve been told somewhere along the line that rabbits hate water and that they will likely get sick and die if bathed. Out of the 5 rabbits I’ve owned over the past 15 years, 1 of them disliked water. They can get sick from being damp, but if you dry them properly and keep them from getting too cold while wet, it’s no more harmful than bathing a dog.
