ChubbyWhale 4 days agoIf this happened to me, I would call an ambulance or a suicide help line or SOMETHING and have them go over to my house where this person was waiting. She’s obviously REALLY disturbed and needs help.

emilyl25 2 weeks agoThis girl probably has borderline personality disorder. It might sound crazy, but in her head it all makes very logical sense and she is feeling very intense emotions and feelings of rejection. She is desperate for any response from the guy. No, this is not “normal girl stuff”. Many teenage girls have borderline personality tendencies and traits, but they are able to work through it and move on as they grow up. And it is usually never this severe. This girl needs some therapeutic help. I think its sort of sad that everyone here is being so ignorant about this serious mental disorder. If you know someone like this, please keep that in mind, and try to compassionately and gently guide them toward seeing a counselor.

lauraq4 3 weeks agoLook, I get it. Girls are girls. Who sometimes send a few too many texts and make annoying phone calls. But seriously, those who are defending JJ? She sat all night in front of this dude’s house, hoping to get the jump on him. She went from I hate you to I love you, back to I hate you, to I’m just crazy, please forgive me, back to I think you’re wonderful… in a few hours. She fake-texted other people to try and get him jealous/to respond. She was relentless and has some serious verbal diarrhea. So please, don’t tell me she’s just being a girl. As a female, I find that very offensive lol

tdaphnev 3 weeks agoWhile I completely agree that this young girl needs help, I have compassion for her having to deal with either a) mental illness or b) having had such a horrific childhood, she knows no better.
I’m not condoning her actions, but I do really sincerely hope that she gets help.
Speaking as someone who is a sexual abuse survivor who has also been raised in a chaotic alcoholic home, I wonder if she had a similar background. I had behaved in a similar (although hadn’t carried it on as long as she did) way when I was young, and at the time, I had no idea that how I was behaving was wrong.
I too did not know how to gage a situation with a guy that involved sex. Again, as a sexual abuse survivor AND being raised in a fucked up, violent, alcoholic home, I just didn’t know about healthy, loving relationships. It took me a long time and a lot of hard work to learn about valuing myself (i.e. knowing when it was a good idea to have sex with someone or not) and honoring boundaries, mine and other’s.
So how ‘bout we have some compassion and hope she gets the help she obviously needs? -

courtenaymariej 3 weeks agoThis is the nicest thing I read on here. Thank you. Unfortunately it is easy to call someone crazy. But it is also really hard to be on the receiving end of this & since she is probably harmless I wish he would have found a better way to resolve things.

amys58 3 weeks agoI am pretty sure, judging by her texts, that he didn’t have to trick her into sleeping with him. Obviously, her self-esteem is pretty low, so sleeping with him was a given. She likes him so she would do anything to make him stay with her. 1st date sex?? That is always a bad idea. She is in need of counseling. I feel bad for her, but I think Kevin said the right thing…granted, about 25 texts too late, but, he did let her know he was no longer interested in a way that wasn’t mean to her. Maybe Kevin needs to reassess who he dates and bangs on the first night.

At 28, I feel I might be able to bestow some wisdom on you young’uns. Firstly: 1. Do not give it up on the first date. Why would he pursue you after this? Why buy the cow if you can get the milk for free?
2. There was once a rule that if you got someone’s number, they should wait a minimum of three days to call you, and you should wait a minimum of 24 hours to return the call. I understand this isn’t feasible today when everyone has a cell phone attached to their ass, but the principle is the same: Make it look like you have a life besides them.
3. Playing hard to get isn’t just a phrase- it actually works. Be mysterious. It makes you ten times more attractive.
4. You don’t have to be in an exclusive relationship with someone after your first date. You are young; date around. You have your whole life to be in a committed relationship.
5. If he’s not your type but you are attracted to him, JUST DO IT. The wondering will drive you crazy. You know you want it, JUST DO IT.
6. Never, I repeat NEVER, do what this girl did. It is not okay, on any terms, in any situation, at any time. DO NOT DO IT. Again, MYSTERY. My very first relationship I was like this girl and I was dumped. Ever since, I have played the mysterious route, and it worked every time. Yes, you need to use self-control and be strong-willed. Those are things you should practice anyway when you are young. Don’t always be available, and don’t, I repeat DON’T, give it up on the first date. You’re welcome :) -

Not always the case on number one…I turned down a request to go home with a guy on the first date once, because I want to give it out just yet, even though I was incredibly attracted to him. Next day he texts me that he’s getting back with his ex. Don’t get me wrong, I was REALLY glad then I didn’t put out at that point, but I’m pretty sure he lost interest because he couldn’t get it in. Douchebag.
