Lorde has been making waves ever since she released her single "Royals". She has constantly been on the top of the iTunes and Billboard charts and now, with the release of her album "Heroine", Lorde shows us what a 16-year old has to offer.

2. Oh Land

Oh Land never disappoints. Born to musical parents, she studied ballet as a form of "rebellion", but an injury prevented her from continuing. She then decided to pursue music and she's really good at it! Her third album "Wishbone" was just released last September, and it is just as amazing as her first two.

3. Mø

Mø started popping up in music blogs earlier this year. She released a few videos for songs "Pilgrims" and "Glass" which captured the ears of a couple bloggers, enough for people to ask who she was. Her EP, "Bikini Daze" was released last October 18 and while it only has 4 songs, all of them show a different side of Mø, all equally beautiful.

4. Banks

Banks is amazing. She is an LA based singer/songwriter and her songs are a mesmerizing combination of RnB, Electronic and IndiePop. She opened for The Weeknd when they performed in LA a few weeks ago and she was a big hit. A lot of people definitely left the event as fans.

You've probably heard her song "Somebody Loves You" in that Home Depot proposal video of a lovely gay couple. Her songs are catchy and sweet with a hint of retro. Expect great things from Betty Who.

6. Cocovan

Cocovan is pretty unknown everywhere. With barely 15,000 views on her video, this French songstress is very inconnu. She is a big fan of Robyn, yet her music is way more mellow but still catchy.

7. Sky Ferreira

Sky Ferreira's debut album, "Night Time, My Time" took years to make. Label issues, personal problems and even a police arrest later, her album finally arrives and it's a total 80's party.

8. Yuna

Yuna is the breath of fresh air that mainstream music needs. Her first single, "Live Your Life" was produced by Pharell and it was described as "a track that has hints that a diva is waiting to shine". Her album "Nocturnal" which was released last October, has everything you could ask for. Her diverse sound and amazing voice will surely take her places.
