I personally feel like you shouldn't have to have a long extensive history in art to have an emotional (or SOME type of) response to a piece. It should say something, and you shouldn't have to be a goddamn art major to even want to identify it as art. I hate Picasso's work, but I can appreciate that they were unique and impressive works of art, just not my taste. I personally hate the attitude that some artists have of “art is anything you can get away with”. I think it shows lack of actual talent. And you're right I didn't do it. I've also never written a book, but I'm still allowed to read one and decide it is shit.
