17 Signs You Might Be A Student Coping With Debt

The struggle is real. Must. Make. It. Until. Payday. #onedebt #oneucdavis

    1) You started off as an idealistic young freshman pursuing your dream degree in an obscure major,

    2) The cost of books makes you cringe,

    3) And you've come to grips with the fact that you'll never know what it is your tuition actually pays for,

    4) Therefore you've given up all hopes of caring about the amount you owe.

    5) You don't remember food being so expensive and your paycheck so small.

    6) Your bank account looks more like a countdown to being homeless,

    7) And your dreams of a social life are slowly dying because you don't have the money to sustain it.

    8) You and 5 other disillusioned individuals crammed into one apartment in order to cut the cost of living,

    9) You know the ins and outs of Costco like you're prepping for the zombie apocalypse,

    10) Thrift shopping for you isn't a fashion statement; it's a necessity. And you make it work.

    11) Between your many part-time jobs and school, you can count the number of hours of sleep you actually get a week on your fingers,

    12) Which is hurting your grades and paycheck in more ways than one.

    13) The closer you get to graduation the more you realize you can't do "adult,"

    14) And you're willing to go to grad school only because it means putting off paying back your loans.

    15) Your response to the question "What're your plans after school?" is "Get a job,"

    16) So you've considered "alternative" employment opportunities

    17) All in all, you're pretty sure your Hogwarts acceptance letter got lost in the mail those many years ago and this is all a big mistake.
