Edward Snowden Doesn't Even Follow His Girlfriend On Twitter

Lindsay Mills has been on social media way longer than Snowden, but hasn't gotten the follow back yet.

NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden made headlines on Tuesday when he sent his first tweet from his newly created account. (Hilariously enough, the only account he follows is the NSA's.)

As good as the joke is, it's kind of rude of Snowden to not at least follow back his girlfriend, Lindsay Mills, who is also on Twitter.

Mills vanished from social media for a few months after the news of Snowden's leak of NSA documents and subsequent flight to Russia broke. The two had moved to Hawai'i when Snowden was stationed at the NSA outpost there before his escape.

But she's been back for the last several months, documenting her experience in Moscow, where she and Snowden now both reside, including trips to the Russian Space Museum.

Her Instagram is filled with a combination of fitness pictures, artful shots, and the occasional bit of whimsy.

When browsing the pictures, be sure to check out the captions, which have an almost Jaden Smith-esque quality to the musings on life and the universe.

And if this picture of her with a chocolate bust of Vladimir Lenin is any indication, she's acclimated well to the Russian Federation.

Unlike Snowden, though, Mills isn't confined to Russia at all, traveling across Europe to grab crepes in Paris.

She also made it back to the United States last winter to attend the Oscars, where citizenfour, the documentary made about Snowden's revelations, won the award for Best Documentary.

And yes, Edward himself makes appearances in some of her pictures, like this kind of adorable picture of them on a swing.

...Or his cameo in this slightly more risqué shot.

In any case, Snowden would probably do well to add her back on Twitter as soon as possible. That's just called being a good boyfriend.
