Man, identified as a judge working in Jordan, was passing at the Allenby border between West Bank and Jordan when he reportedly tried to attack the soldier and steal his rifle.
The former Anglican archbishop of Cape Town made the statement as the 10th annual Israel Apartheid Week opened Sunday in South Africa. The initiative, part of the international boycott, divestment and sanctions movement’s campaign against Israel, is…
The British prime minister will likely be bearing a candid message during his visit: Stop settlement expansion and preserve the two-state solution.
Iron Dome intercepts three rockets; IDF fires shells into Gaza Strip; Lieberman: No choice but to take over Gaza.
“Jerusalem’s holiest site - once again triggering crises between
Muslims and Jews and between regional states - cannot remain hostage to
extremists.” NO SITE triggers anything. PEOPLE do. In the case of
the Temple Mount, the ARABS trigger violence time and again, throwing
stones - including large bricks - at Jews. From 1948 until 1967, under
Arab rule, no Jews were allowed into the Old City of Jerusalem. From
1967, under Jewish rule, the keys were graciously given to the Arab
Waqf. Under their rule Jews are barely tolerated in Temple Mount. Jews
are not allowed to pray there. The Arabs discriminate against Jews, and
the Israeli police support this discrimination for the sake of
“peace and order”. “Peace” with discrimination,
“Order” - at the order of the anti-Jewish Arabs.
Younger generation open to Palestinian side of conflict.
Maybe it was just a coincidence, but during the Eilat press conference, the U.S. Embassy in Tel Aviv announced that the Obama administration was immediately transferring $429 million for the production and procurement of more Iron Dome anti-missile…

Prime Minister’s Office expresses ‘regret’ and agrees to let Jordan join Israeli investigation into incident.
Those who have been deceived by Putinpropaganda for over a decade now
see the true colors of Putinism — avoid a “EuroManezh” at
all costs. The only thing the Putinists fear is a Color revolution/Arab
spring coming to their doorstep. At the core, these revolutions are
about getting accountability into their political systems (e.g.,
democracy). Putinism is the tight melding of government agencies, oil
& gas conglomerates, media, police, courts, military, and tax
collectors, all under the control of the presidential
administration/secret services (FSB). [Image if Barack Obama was the
Chairman of the board of a Exxon-Mobile-Chevron-Conoco, was head of a
combined CIA-FBI, was the chief executive of a combined
ABC-NBC-CBS-FOX-CNN, commanded the armed forces, and was the U.S.
president. Oh, add to that a Congress and Senate of rubber-stampers.]
You see, the Putinists never wanted a return of the USSR (even though
analysts like to throw around the quote of Putin lamenting the fall of
the Soviet Union), they wanted Russia to follow the China model –
go from a brutally oppressive and unsustainable totalitarian system into
a one-party political system + free-market capitalism. After all, why
try to manage an inefficient command-economy when you can have crony
industrialists do it for you? The hallmark of this modern police-state
system is to allow zero dissent at home while constantly forwarding
mega-projects (“stability,” Sochi, Crimea, Anti-Americanism,
Homophobia, the Eurasian Customs KleptoUnion, etc., in order to provide
citizens with a sense of unity (Russia has had an identity crisis since
the collapse of the USSR), and to keep them distracted from the chronic
kleptocracy and illegitimacy of the “governing syndicate.”
Look closely at the Crimea crisis, which was manufactured by the
Kremlin. There was no disquiet there. The Putinists don’t care about
Russian citizens. When’s the last time any Russian embassies
abroad or government service bureau at home really helped and served
Russian citizens? Lines, frustrations, and bribes are the norm, from
public schools to residency permits to vehicle registrations and work
permits. You name it. It is a ploy to whip up patriotism and nationalism
on the domestic front as a smokescreen for the lack of common law across
the system and the abuses and power-greed-mongering of the Putinist
clique, all of whom are connected to the 1990s St. Petersburg mafia or
the federal security services. The Crimean invasion is a scheme to stop
cold EuroMaidan from cascading into EuroManezh, with some side benefits,
such as poking a finger in the eye of the West (aren’t we all
tired of the Putinist over-use of “East vs. West?” Rather,
it’s “second world” vs. “first world”).
And so, the Putinists have adroitly seen themselves in Ben Ali, Mubarak,
Saleh, Bashir, Gadaffi, Assad, and Yanokovych, and stepped up to stop
it. They’ve used a variety of tools, which includes the glum
tongue of Sergey Lavrov, but this has reached its limits. They’ve
now turned to using Russian soldiers – Russian guns circling the
Putinist wagons – just look at a map, from Belarus, around Crimea,
across Ossettia… it’s a shield to protect the Putinsystem
from the march of dignity, justice, and freedom.
