Zunes Frozen!
At 2 this morning, every single 30 GB Microsoft Zune crashed at exactly the same time, sparking an avalanche of 'Y2K9' jokes and other geeky hilarity at Microsoft's expense. Apparently, the Zune models all reset at the same moment, and when users turned them on again, they simply froze with a full loading bar. We're still waiting to hear from Microsoft about what exactly happened here, but you can bet that it'll be a very long time before they live this one down.
