Like a lot of people are saying, some of these are very cool. The Iris Van Herpen ones are structurally astounding, and the Stephanie Rolland ones are totally wearable once you take away the rectangle protrusions (the point of couture shows is to showcase the extreme, and then there are usually ready-to-wear versions of the same line). The one thing that really bothered me was when the models' faces were covered - I find that really demeaning and dehumanising. I know they're supposed to be a blank canvas for the clothes, but there are other ways to homogenise your model's look (via styling) without trussing her up like an B&D sex slave.

#16 looks like a condom and #31 looks like a vagina.

A lot of these are really really beautiful pieces of fashion. The Dior sheer piece is absolutely divine.

Frau Von NippelPeek is kind of weirding me out in #27.

I love the stockings with the black flames on the ankles, I want a pair.

I always look at these and think about what the judges on project runway would say.

Most of these are awesome. Not to wear obviously, but that's not the point. The point is to appreciate them in terms of art and design, and these are aesthetically interesting and beautiful.

Some of these are actually pretty badass.

A lot of the time fashion is exaggerated in runway shows for artistic reasons. They don't expect anyone to want to wear these outfits casually. Except maybe Lady Gaga.

Much of this wasn't 'art' as much as it was grotesque. When art commands girls to starve to wear your 'contraptions', you need a reality check. Conspicuous consumption in this day and age is little more that bread and circuses. If it's truly art, let's put it on wiggling robotic manikins that move up and down the runway on a pole.
