MAUMELLE, Ark. (AP)—Police have spoken multiple times to an Arkansas meteorologist in the days since he was found asleep in a hot tub next to a naked dead man wearing a dog collar.

Brett Cummins No charges have been filed and police say they are not treating the case as a criminal investigation. Brett Cummins, a meteorologist at Little Rock television station KARK, has been interviewed several times since police were called to a home in Maumelle Monday morning, police spokesman Lt. Jim Hansard said. The homeowner, who was identified in a police report as Christopher Barbour, told police he found Cummins asleep in the hot tub next to 24-year-old Dexter Williams. Williams’ face was discolored, and he had a chain around his neck that appeared to resemble a dog collar, the report said. Barbour allegedly told police that the three men had been drinking and doing drugs the night before. Hansard wouldn’t say whether either man had since offered any new details about what happened. He did say that there are no suspects in connection with Williams’ death. “There could be criminal charges that come out of this case, but we’re not looking for that,” he said. “We’re just trying to figure out what’s going on.” Police have received preliminary results from an autopsy of Williams. But Hansard would not comment on the results, citing the ongoing investigation. A full autopsy report could be released later. Cummins did not respond to several messages this week seeking comment. Officials at KARK also did not return phone messages. Barbour could not be reached for comment. KARK reported on Williams’ death Tuesday. The station said Cummins would not appear on television Tuesday, but it was not yet clear whether he would remain off the air for any longer. Barbour told police he fell asleep on his couch Sunday night and woke up the next morning to find Cummins and Williams in the tub. When Cummins awoke and found Williams unconscious, he screamed and threw up, Barbour told police.
