An emotional election night for fans of the president.
This is beautiful, thank you Buzzfeed for sharing this. For many of us, especially those of whose lifestyles are drastically affected by the outcome of the elections (i.e. minority/otherwise generally oppressed demographics), the election was an extremely big deal that was directly related to our own personal quality of life. As an LGBT American, I felt immense joy when President Obama was reelected, because it meant that I would have a president for another four years who I could trust to defend my rights as a human being and as a citizen. These images say pretty much everything I felt when I found out he was reelected, and I highly commend you for sharing this set of images because it resonates so personally with so many of us.
