      The LXG ‘88 one is fro one of Wizard Magazine’s April Fools articles. One of my favorite things about it is the 70s league pics in the background: Shaft, Rocky, Bandit, The Six Million Dollar Man, Serpico, and Jill Munroe.

      The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen: America 1988 would be awesome. Dr. Emmet L. Brown working with MacGyver, Mr. T and Jack Burton.  Forget that Delorian Time machine that’s too 1985. Instead they should travel back in time using an awesome Black GMC Van with a red stripe on the side.  And no Mr. Fusion. No problem. MacGuyver has got you covered there. In order to generate 1.21 gigawatts of power all he has to do is rub a balloon against Jack Burton’s mullet for an hour and then channel the power through the the flux compassitor using a hairpin, some duct tape, an Atari 2600 and Lisa from Weird Science.
