10 Mind-Blowingly Offensive Quotes From Ron Paul Newsletters
Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul used to publish a libertarian newsletter in the '80s and '90s. They were not, shall we say, sane. From those newsletters, here are some racist/homophobic/anti-semitic musings on everything from AIDS to Hate Whitey Day (aka Martin Luther King Jr. Day). Paul says he didn't write any of the following quotes, but they all appeared under his name. Yiiiiiikes.

All of these quotes passed under His holy nose, and all could have been stopped from publication in his newsletter at that time, but none of them were flagged. This is the way Ron Paul does business. Have another person do what you want to do, and if it's necessary you can claim you had nothing to do with it later. Leadership by cowardice.
Everything this man has said and done in his political career is the exact opposite of racism. He doesn't like capital punishment because it is notoriously used for minorities, he doesn't like the war on drugs because it treats blacks/latinos unfairly and he bases his entire economic philosophy on two jews (mises & rothbard)
So, in the end he didnt even say or write these. ahAHA, Is that all anyone can scrape up on this guy (whos been around longer than the rest of these creeps!) If this man loses I plan to steal him and make him the 1st President of Canada!!

Haha, funny idiots are funny. (Referring to people what believe anything they read and do no first-hand research, ever)Also, I see the Ministry of Truth is hard at fucking work again. Orwell is fucking writhing in his grave.
These newsletters were debunked back in 2008. Liberals and hawkish republicans have nothing on Ron Paul's decades of consistent views. Those that claim that he's not electable can ask anyone in his district why he's won his congressional seat 11 times. March on Ron Paul 2012!

Regardless of whether he endorsed these comments or not, Ron Paul hipsters need too look to candidate more closely than just his position on drugs and war. Ron Paul is like the hot girl at the party, that you later discover is ridden with herpes. Looks fun and you'll think you're gonna have a great time, then you end up regretting the decision for the rest of your life.
Admit it - Ron Paul serves 'liberties' of white men. The end. He does not care about the EPA, affirmative action, consumer protections, the minimum wage, homosexual marriage, church/state separation…. I would never vote for this guy! Plus his followers come off like they're in a cult.
Ill keep an open mind. Can anyone post a link where he completely disavows this kind of writing in his name? I mean if someone wrote a newsletter for me saying these things i would go to any length to make sure they are not beliefs i hold.
Lots of users are claiming this is fake, but it seems to be legit. Just like the top of the post says: these statements may not have been authored by Paul himself, but they were published in his newsletter, under his auspices. These posts from Daily Kos (yes, I'm a big liberal, thank you very much) have some more information (though unfortunately the PDFs of the actual newsletters seem to have been taken down):http://www.dailykos.com/story/2008/01/08/433066/-Ron-Pauls-Racist-Newsletters-Revealedhttp://www.dailykos.com/story/2007/5/15/124912/740/584/335036A quote from the first link:“Whether Paul wrote every word in his newsletters or not, it is inconceivable that the views expressed repeatedly here, which he published under his name in words he represented as being written by him for two decades or more, do not represent the views of Ron Paul himself.”
Goddammit, everybody already knows the story behind this. It was a newsletter ghost-written by Lew Rockwell (and not by Ron Paul) that was used to try to get white-nationalists onto the cause of less government. Rockwell didn’t care if the Neo-Nazis were douchebags, he just wanted more people to join Paul and stop the state, regardless of personal beliefs. But even if he is a racist (and he might be for all I know, he does live in Texas, although he’s more of an individualist and racism is a collectivist mentality, but I digress) it doesn’t change the validity of his stances on government and economics. That’s known as the argumentum ad hominem fallacy. This is what I have to tell people whenever they bring this shit up.
It is true that Ron Paul never said some of these, however, he still bears responsibility for allowing them to be published in his newsletter. He is the one who signed off on the publication of these statements. It makes no difference whether he spoke them or printed them. He cited these views as being view similar to his own and he made no effort argue against the points contained in these quotations. He owns this.
False, This issue came up during the last election and it was proven Ron Paul never said these things. They are betting on the forgetfulness of common people to use it a second time.
