Carnival of the Ignorant, indeed! #1 - Yes, Bill Nye is trying to teach children about reality, not clearly-debunked Bronze-Age myths about how the world works. #2 - No. I’m also not scared of dragons, Thor, unicorns and Shiva. #3 - Yes, it is completely illogical, because nothing in reality supports that idea. We have overwhelming evidence as to how the Earth was formed, based upon its composition. #4 - No, it doesn’t. You understand neither evolution nor thermodynamics. #5 - The earth, being an oblate spheroid, rotates as it revolves around the sun. When the earth rotates, causing our view of the sun to slowly become obscured by the nape of the earth, we call that a “sunset.” Bronze-age man didn’t understand this, so they made up myths and stories to explain the phenomena, such as a giant dung beetle that ‘rolled’ the sun across the sky. #6 - The big bang scientific theory has nothing to do with the scientific theory of evolution. Unfortunately, you understand neither of those scientific theories, so your question is invalid. #7 - What about it? Has it proven anything? Has it led to a greater understanding of “mind”? #8 - Life has no meaning. Neither does a tsunami that kills tens of thousands and causes the meltdown of a nuclear reactor. #9 - The first single-celled organism occurred by the melding of earlier organisms. There is a good explanation in “Evolution: The Story of Life on Earth” by Jay Hosler #10 - Your guess is not the same as the physical cosmology origin. I could nitpick and say that god couldn’t say anything without an atmosphere, but why bother? There was no one to hear it, right? #11 - I not sure how a ‘non-believer’ would actually believe in the ID christianity-dressed-up-in-fake-science-clothes, but look hard enough and you’ll find all sorts of people who believe in crazy, unsubstantiated ideas (like on Buzzfeed — zing!). #12 - Pierolapithecus catalaunicus, Australopithecus afarensis, Homo habilis, Homo erectus, Homo ergaster, Homo antecessor, Homo heidelbergensis, Homo floresiensis … #13 - That is a very good question; probably the best question of the lot. #14 - Evolution is not “a theory.” It is a Scientific Theory, which means it is as close to ‘fact’ as presently possible. Creationism has exactly ZERO falsifiable evidence, therefore it cannot be a Scientific Theory. #15 - See #14. Go ahead and teach “creationism” in an anthropology or comparative religion class. It has as much place in a science class as teaching basket weaving does in music class. ID has no merit whatsoever, except maybe as a cultural phenomena. #16 - As you’re parroting long-ago-debunked ‘arguments’, you (as they originally) fail to define what you mean by “information,” which is key to answering your question. Check out Shannon-Weaver information theory to see why mutation can add some forms of information. #17 - See #8, just replace “meaning” with “purpose”. #18 - Because fossilization is extremely rare. Note also that your premise is wrong: there is only one partial skeleton of Homo floresiensis. #19 - Since you don’t define “faith”, let me use a common, dictionary definition: belief without evidence. The answer is yes: there is falsifiable evidence for the Cosmological origin. #20 - Because I have an education and learned about the physical processes that make up this planet. I also have not met anyone with the power to make a planet (or seen anyone do so), so until I do, I won’t assume such a power exists. #21 - It wasn’t a star. Also, there is no “come from” because time did not exist prior to that event, so there is no ‘before’. To put it succinctly: we are presently unable to determine how the primordial mass operated. #22 - We didn’t come from monkeys. Monkeys and Humans share a common (now extinct) ancestory. Also: the same reason why adults came from children and there are still children.

Bulldoze that junk with all haste. Matthew 6:
:2 Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. :3 But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth: :4 That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly.  :5 And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
