My thoughts exactly!
4538 AND my favorite movie, Goodfellas!
Erm…not all Christians are Catholic. Just sayin.
And I agree. That’s why I was following you up until the lack of empathy part. Every single person is responsible for their own actions and behaviors, good or bad. Empathy should not be given to ANYBODY based on race. And I say this with first hand knowledge. Contrary to how my opinions on this issue may have come across, I am not white. I am 3rd generation, 100% Mexican American. Based on stereotypes of my ethnicity, and looking at my up bringing and the parents I have, I should be on my 5th kid at 26, living off welfare, battling a drug habit, on probation, etc. But because I have COMMON SENSE, I know how to act and how not to act. If I want to be taken seriously in this world, I will act accordingly. Yes, there have been times where I was looked down upon because of my race, but my ACTIONS knocked those judgments down a peg. Yes, there is blatant hatred racism out there, I know. But that’s not my point. My point for this specific thread, is the choices you make are the choices you live with. And it’s not just solely looks or how one dresses. I have been taken down a peg a handful of times when I have seen someone who looks like a thug turn out to be the only one who would open a door, knew that when they were indoors their hat needed to be removed, or would run across a parking lot to help an elderly lady out of her car. It’s how you act. You want to act a fool, you will be treated as such. I will not, nor should anyone else, take empathy on ANYONE based on the fear of being labeled a “racist”. No, grow up and carry yourself in manner that garners respect.
I was following you until you got to “lack of empathy” being a direct contributor to downward spiral of life. So we’re supposed to take the cuffs off when we want to arrest a black guy because it’s not his fault that he turned out this way it’s ours for our lack of empathy for him because he’s black and it’s hard out here for him? How is THAT not racist?
I am an Obama supporter but even I found his comment about Trayvon to be in bad taste.
And do you get that George Zimmerman was protected under a (I’ll admit BS) law that protected him and that a big reason an arrest was even made in that case was because of the outcry over race? George Zimmerman DID take it too far, but under that law, he was protected. Those are the facts that no one wants to accept. But because race was immediately thrown in and it was seen as racial injustice, an arrest was eventually made to (for lack of a better term) shut people up. And a jury found him innocent based on the parameters of that law in that state. Justice in that case was served. Period.
Ohhhhh! But heaven forbid we forget that Trayvon was black?! Since his RACE was what the vast majority of the controversy and outcry was for. But my bad, we can only call out black people’s race when they’re the victim but not the accused. I forgot, my apologies. Psshhhh…GFTO! Thank you Ryan Broderick for having the balls to display what every one else is thinking!
Angelchica1205 I was obsessed with the “Angel” (or Princess) fad. And I was Hispanic, so I had to add some flair in there with the “Chica”. 1205 will always be apart of everything login/username related. ;-)
AllIcan take from this, is that Simba’s mom’s name was Sarabi, not Nairobi.
