wow at these comments…this pretty much sums up the problem with society…too much judgement, too little sympathy, and horrible reading comprehension (he was in the backseat… not the one driving). poor decision making skills seems to be an epidemic for his age group but I never realized it was deserving of the death sentence…

No. This reminds me more of that Japanese trend “black lifestyle” where the girls perm their hair, get braids, butt injections, sit in the tanning booth for hours, topped off with tons of bronzer and lip plumper to look like hip hop video girls…actually I’m pretty sure Kim has done every single one of those things. Maybe her dream is to be in a rap music video…? Hopefully Kanye can make that happen for her…

This is ridiculous. I wish the media would drop this non story already. What exactly is the point besides making her uncomfortable and distracting the public from her accomplishments? It started on huffpost when they quoted 3 (yes 3) tweets (it might have been 2 actually) and deemed it a “backlash” over her hair. Everyone then decided to pick it up after that but they’ve been requoting the same 3 or so tweets or not even referencing the source of the “controversy” at all.  The truth is that the hair controversy is non existent and 99.99% of people are shocked that this is even an issue. The culprits aren’t the 3 idiots that made the comments but the outlets like buzzfeed who keep reprinting this story and trying to make an issue out of something neither Gabby nor 99.9% of us would have known about. I wouldn’t be surprised if this was why she lost her final event. P.S. Most of the girls have been wearing messy buns since that start of the Olympics.

Ummm… since when was this girl the internet’s favorite American gymnast…??? I think that award goes to Gabby Douglas. She has 4x as many google hits and a cereal box for god sake. Or was that sarcasm?

Ugh…the “man” comment makes no sense. She wins because she’s stronger and just better. She probably could beat many guys… but to say that makes her more of a “man” is actually an insult every female competitor.  Since when did strength = a male trait? So the weaker you are the more of woman you are? Then why do women bother competing in sports at all? Aren’t they all trying to be the best, the strongest, the fastest..?? Some are just better than others. But apparently when a woman is “too good” she becomes a man. hmmm…last I checked both males and females were born with muscles and we all get to use them to the best of our ability.

i honestly think swimmers have the perfect male body type. whatever swimming works out is what all men should focus on working out. they’re like super muscly but not bulky.. if that makes sense.

PS she is also the first American period to win best all around and a team gold.

Bad timing. And these little “racism” articles are detracting from the fact that she was basically just named the best gymnast in the world…how about we focus on that and how awesome she is, Buzzfeed? Maybe a a cool list or 2?? Or will we just be subjected to concocted racism stories…?
