As a journalist and editor with more than 30-years experience covering breaking news and investigative journalism those who relied on Social Media to defame and slander Ryan Lanza are wrong and no doubt the lawsuit payouts to stem from this will reflect that.  One rule in my newsrooms - Be first, but be right. Epic #fail.  And For Fucks Sake stop relying on Facebook as the sign-in method for comments.  It’s for the exact reason highlighted in this clustefuck of US reporting - not journalism - that some people don’t have Facebook- perhaps get your email registration confirmation system working properly as well.
